Murano Blown Glass Rolled Edge Bowl Red Argento Amberina Bullicante Controlled Bubble Silver Fleck Aventurine - Italy

$68.00

Details

This bowl has it all & the photos do not do it justice! Heavy rolled edge bowl, this style is frequently attributed to the 1960s studio of Fratelli Toso in Murano, Italy but it could be by one of several Murano artists. First it's a very unusual color - amberina - which means it goes from deep orange red at the top through lighter shades of orange to clear at the base. Lovely & difficult bullicante (controlled bubble) technique goes from large bubbles at the top to small at the base. It also features silver aventurine (flakes) throughout the piece. This gives you a great visual combination of silver flakes showing on the rolled edge from the bottom and gold flakes when seen through the orange tone glass on the top, very eye catching as well as the large bubbles being featured in the rolled edge of the bowl. Highly polished clear base, this would be outstanding lit from above or below. Great gift for the glass lover in your life.

Size: 7" w x 2.5" h

Condition: Excellent, I see no defects.

A Thing of Beauty Vintage Finds

    Selling since November 2023

Hi, I'm Cynthia. I am a shop owner with 10+ years of experience. I do everything within my power, including packing with great care and shipping fully insured, to get your "thing of beauty" to you safely. I shop the fine estate sales and auctions in the horse country of north Georgia, nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, and bring them to you, the beholder.

I was raised in a home where bone china, silver and fine crystal were both used and appreciated. This translated into a love of antiques and handmade items of similar quality. I love the journey that leads me to these beautiful things and I hope you will enjoy my "finds" as much as I have enjoyed finding them.

Please feel free to reach out to me via text or email with any questions you may have. I am frequently hiking on the weekends so your best chance of a speedy response will be during weekday business hours.

Follow me on FB and Instagram where I share additional information on the creation/history of my items.

Helping you find your thing of beauty, Cynthia
