Hineri glass is a Japanese art glass technique characterized by its twisted or folded appearance. The process involves manipulating molten glass to create unique shapes and textures, often resulting in organic and asymmetrical designs. Hineri glass pieces gained popularity in the mid-20th century, reflecting the era's fascination with innovative glassmaking techniques.
Japanese glassmakers embraced Hineri as a way to express their creativity and craftsmanship. The technique allows for a wide range of artistic interpretations, from delicate floral forms to bold, abstract sculptures.
