Details

USA tariff $6.75 added to shipping The name “Verlys” is a mashup of “Ver” from Verriere and “lys” from Les Andelys. Verlys Glass is hard to find as it was only made in France from 1925 until in the early 1960s. I was also made from 1935 until it ceased altogether in the States in 1951-52. In 1966 the surviving Verlys molds were sold to Fenton Art Glass Company. No chips or cracks Approximate size 8 x 4 inch Verlys is a brand name that has been used by several different glass manufacturers over the years. The original Verlys was a French company founded in the 1930s by Auguste Jean-François Croisy.

Croisy had previously worked for Lalique, and his Verlys glass was similar in style to Lalique's work. Verlys glass was typically made of molded glass and featured Art Deco designs. The company ceased production during World War II.
