Origin: Talavera pottery originated in Talavera de la Reina, Spain, but the Mexican version, known as Talavera Poblana, developed in Puebla, Mexico in the mid-16th century. Material: It's made from a mixture of light, rose-colored clay and darker clay found in the Puebla region. It is a type of majolica or tin-glazed earthenware with a white base glaze. o Design: Talavera pottery features hand-painted designs with intricate patterns and bright colors. The designs often blend indigenous and European influences.
