1934 Design Wmf Ikora Metal Deco Enamelled & Plated Vase and Under plate Set

A modish metalwork Deco vase on a short round base, the brushed pale gold enamelled ground embellished with silver plate and black enamel spire stripes. Condition: surface wear and very minor rubbing on vase; Under plate has some plating damage due to age and some scratching that has happened over the years due to improper cleaning methods.

Designed in 1934, in production until 1954, WMF stamp mark to the base of both pieces. For more information see "WMF Ikora Metalwork", Carlo Burschell, Arnoldische Verlag Stuttgart 2006, page 71, 221 231. Measurement rounded to the nearest quarter inch. Height 7.25in. for vase and approx. 2.75 in at base. Underplate is approximately 10.25 dia. and sits approx 2.25 in. tall off of tabletop on 3 ball feet.
