Details
“Furniture: As Interpreted by the Century Furniture Company,” ninth printing from 1939, is the Grand Rapids maker’s illustrated survey of period styles. Across 170 numbered pages it summarizes movements such as the Italian Renaissance, William & Mary, and Duncan Phyfe and pairs each with black-and-white photographs of Century’s own reproductions, as noted in the text. The hardcover measures about 8.25" x 5.5" with a cloth spine over paper boards. Included is the original late-1930s Century tri-fold showroom brochure that discusses the firm’s reputation and the purpose of the book—an appealing companion piece for collectors of Grand Rapids furniture ephemera.
Some minor wear to cover. A prior owner's name is written on the inside front cover. No rips or tears to pages noted. See pictures for further details on condition.
