Up for bid are 6 of the finest precision needle files you can find anywhere. They are all classified as watchmaker encasement files. The names on the files are from some of the finest Swiss, German , and French tool makers. One file made by Vallorbe is a flat triangle file, 2 files, one by F.L. Grobet and one by Vautier have round tapered file on one end and a burnishing tool on the other end. One just says made in France, but you can tell it is very high quality. Most of Nicholson small precision files were made in Germany or Switzerland. Although use by watchmakers and Jewelers, they can be used by anyone needing very fine file work.

With over 76 years of life experience and a passion for woodworking, I’ve spent decades collecting, restoring, and working with antique hand tools, mostly hand planes . I'm an Army Vet. (1967-1969) and married with 2 children. I'm also a avid gardener. I have a degree in Forestry from S.I.U. although I only worked in the industry for 6 weeks. I'm retired from the coal mines and also the Post Office. I live in Southern Illinois near Carbondale. I love to hunt and fish. I live on 30 with a 9 acre strip mine lake in front of the house. My work shop includes a Delta Unisaw , a Grizzley 17" band saw and a DeWalt 735 planer. I have many hand planes including a very nice Stanley #2 type 7
