Versatile set of 4 Fostoria "Romance" etch champagne / tall sherbet glasses with matching underplates. These can be used separately as glasses for champagne or cocktails & app or bread & butter plates or they can be combined for desserts or shrimp cocktail. They would be beautiful to use for a wedding toast or bridal shower.

This is an attractive and delicate etch introduced 1942, retired in 1971. The pattern features lacy flowers & bows. Etched glass is considered Elegant Glass, not depression ware as it was fire polished and involved some degree of hand finishing in the creation process. Unlike Depression Glass it was expensive to buy when new.

Approx Size: Glasses - 5.5" h x 3.75" w, holds 6 oz. Plates - 6" w

Condition*: The glasses are in excellent condition, no cloudiness in the glass. No chips or cracks. The plates have some scratches and scuffing, about average for this type of vintage item. Please see last photo.

    I was raised in a home where bone china, silver and fine crystal were both used and appreciated. This translated into a love of antiques and handmade items of similar quality. I love the journey that leads me to these beautiful things and I hope you will enjoy my "finds" as much as I have enjoyed finding them.
