Stunning Large Famille Rose Bowl featuring Rose Medallion pattern likely from the 1800s. This spectacular bowl is handpainted depicting alternating panels of colorful vibrant figural, florals, birds and insects. It is in very good condition considering it’s age. No chips or cracks and shows little paint loss. Famille Rose is a type of Chinese porcelain known for its colorful decorations featuring pink overglaze enamel as a dominant color. The term Famille Rose is a French term for “pink family” that Western collectors used to describe this style.
