Antique Stanley No. 10 Hickory Square Head Mallet, circa 1900-1929

A nice antique Stanley No. 10 hickory square head mallet. This is the largest size of 3 sizes that stanley offered and it weighs 1 pound, 13 ounces. A great general purpose mallet for the hand tool woodworking shop. The design and features of this mallet place it in the 2nd half of production, circa 1898 to 1929. It has a nice "10" stamp on the head. It has a couple of holes on one side of the head, and a previous owner wrapped some type of thin material at the head-end of the handle to give it some extra grip.
