Something New, by Beatles, released on July 20, 1964, in the United States by Capitol Records, is a compilation of tracks primarily drawn from the UK version of A Hard Day's Night, alongside other recent recordings. It features a mix of original compositions and covers, showcasing the band's evolving songwriting and energetic performances during their early Beatlemania peak. Historically significant as part of Capitol's strategy to maximize the Beatles' U.S. market presence, the album was one of several American releases that repackaged UK material, often with different track listings, to capitalize on the band's skyrocketing popularity. Hit singles from the album include Ain't She Sweet and I'll Cry Instead, the latter reaching No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album itself peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, reflecting the Beatles' dominance in the U.S. charts during 1964.
