Details
Vinyl plays with occasional crackles (play-graded). Cover has a few creases near edges; light-scuffing, slight discoloration (front/back). Inner-sleeve is original (generic white). Spine is mostly readable with noticeable wear and a few splits (printed off center). Minor shelf-wear along bottom-edge and corners, heavier across top edge with splits. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Love That, by Bert Kaempfert, released in 1968 is a blend of reimagined standards and original compositions, showcasing Kaempfert’s signature easy-listening orchestral style. Despite its title and Kaempfert’s reputation for hits like Wonderland By Night. The album features a mix of covers like Duke Ellington’s Caravan and originals such as The First Waltz, with notable contributions from collaborators Herbert Rehbein and Carl Sigman. Hit singles include Caravan, which reached No. 10 on the Easy Listening chart, and Lonely Is The Name, a No. 12 Easy Listening hit covered by Sammy Davis Jr.. The album, while not a major success, reflects Kaempfert’s ability to infuse classic melodies with his distinctive arrangements, though it struggled to resonate with audiences amid the evolving musical landscape of the late 1960s.
