Carlton Ware Australian Yellow Wild Rose Pedestal Bowl

Designed in Australia, and made in England, this butter yellow footed or pedestal candy dish features delicately painted wild roses on the interior. This line of whimsical dishware from Carlton Ware of England was part of the Flora themed line - some featuring Australian native flowers and plants, others featuring species introduced by the British colonists. The textured ceramic surface is glazed, and the glaze is exceptionally bright and clear given the estimated age of the item from the 1950s. Please note the small chip in glaze on back base of the bowl - you’ll have to zoom to see the area clearly. Does not affect use or function of the dish - but do not put vintage dishware in dishwasher!
