Christmas America: Album Two released in 1974 by Capitol Special Markets (catalog SL-6950), is a festive compilation featuring various artists performing holiday classics, distributed through Firestone Tire dealerships with a distinctive "Seasons Greetings Firestone" sticker on the shrink wrap. The album includes performances by notable artists such as Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Anne Murray, Merle Haggard, and Glen Campbell, with tracks like Santa Claus and Popcorn, Silver Bells, and Silent Night, showcasing a mix of traditional and contemporary holiday songs. Arranged and conducted by Sid Feller for several tracks, the album features folk art by Mizue Hamilton on its cover, adding to its collectible appeal. While no specific hit singles from this compilation are noted in the provided sources, the inclusion of iconic artists like Crosby and Cole, whose versions of songs like White Christmas and The Christmas Song were historically significant hits from other releases, underscores the album’s cultural resonance. Its association with Firestone’s holiday marketing and Capitol’s special markets strategy highlights its role as a nostalgic, promotional item during the 1970s holiday seasons.
