Unmarked claw hatchet with new handle.  Replacement handle is well made and fits tightly to the head.  Head weighs 2lb / 32oz.  No offset to this hatchet like a hewing axe.

We're just about to release our video on planes for rough work and we have lots of great smoothers and lots of planes that have ALREADY been converted for rough work. 

BUT we really need more affordable jack planes for people to make into fore planes. I know many sellers have no 5 planes by Stanley and other makers. You can also add transitional and even wooden planes to the category "Make these 5s into fores". It's right there on the homepage.
