I am a retired high school English teacher who has always had a passion and a knack for shopping and finding beautiful and affordable items for my home. I decided that I could share both my passion & my bargain finds with you. I live in a great area with many thrift stores, flea markets, estate sales, auctions, & antique shops. I chose my business name to be The Gumbo Pot because a great gumbo recipe will include many different ingredients that are combined to make the perfect pot of gumbo.
