Vinyl plays with occasional light-crackles (play-graded). Cover has a few creases near edges; scuffing (front/back); discoloration with dark discoloration spots on back. Inner-sleeve is original (reprise ads/picture); two seams partially split. Spine is partially readable with noticeable wear. Shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners; top edge has text that is partially readable. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)

Mass in F Minor, by Electric Prunes, was released in 1968 and is a unique blend of psychedelic rock, classical music, and Gregorian-style vocals sung in Latin and Greek, composed and arranged by David Axelrod. The album was a bold departure from the band’s earlier garage rock sound, conceived as a religious rock opera, but its complex arrangements proved challenging, leading to the use of session musicians and the Canadian band The Collectors to complete the recording. Historically significant for its innovative fusion of genres, it is often cited as a proto-progressive rock work and gained cult status, particularly after the track Kyrie Eleison was featured in the 1969 counterculture film Easy Rider. The album reached No. 135 on the Billboard 200 but produced no major hit singles, with Sanctus released as a single in 1968 failing to chart significantly. The project’s ambitious scope and the band’s limited involvement contributed to their breakup later that year, marking a pivotal moment in their career.
