About The Record:

Trilogy, by Emerson, Lake & Palmer, peaked at No. 5 on Billboard 200 in US and No. 2 on UK Albums Chart and featured the single From the Beginning which charted on US Singles Chart at No. 39. The front cover design by Hipgnosis depicts Emerson, Lake, and Palmer attached at the shoulders, while the interior of the original gatefold sleeve features a photo-montage showing multiple images of the band in Epping Forest carpeted with autumn leaves. Trilogy increased ELP's worldwide popularity, and included Hoedown, an arrangement of the Aaron Copland composition, which was one of their most popular songs when performing live. Band member Greg Lake has said this is his favorite ELP record.
