Details
Vinyl plays nicely; a few light hairlines (play-graded). Cover has a few creases near edges; light-scuffing, slight discoloration with darker discoloration spots (front/back). Inner-sleeve is generic white. Spine is easy-to-read with very mild-wear. Shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge; minor wear to corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and a few divots. Mid-to-late 1970s pressing. (Not a cut-out.)
The One and Only is an album by Glenn Miller. Liner notes say, "Glenn Miller was the high priest of the big-band empire...The reason for the unprecedented mass support and contagious appeal was the neat balance of instrumental and vocal effects. Behind the razor-sharp, impeccably rehearsed ensembles stood jazzmen of outstanding quality featured on short but tasty solos. And then were the Glenn Miller singers: Ray Eberle, Marion Hutton, the Modernaires and, later, Paula Kelly and Skip Nelson...All in all, The One and Only Glenn Miller is a bonanza for Miller collectors and those who like well-played and imaginatively scored dance music. It serves as a fine cross section of the various styles, singers and soloists that made up the great Glenn Miller sound, a sound that continues to thrill and fascinate whole new generations of listeners."
