Tis the Season, by Jackie Gleason, released in 1967 by Capitol Records, is a festive easy listening album featuring lush orchestral arrangements and holiday-themed tracks. Recorded in New York City from July 11-13, 1967, the album showcases Gleason's signature mood music style, with contributions from notable musicians like trumpeter Pee Wee Erwin, tenor saxophonist Charlie Ventura, and trombonist Buddy Morrow. The album includes 11 tracks, such as Christmas Moon, Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!, and Blue Christmas, blending original compositions and popular holiday standards. While no singles from the album achieved significant chart success or historical prominence, the album remains a notable example of Gleason's orchestral holiday recordings, complementing his earlier 1956 release, Merry Christmas. Its enduring appeal lies in its nostalgic, romantic sound, characteristic of Gleason's extensive discography in the easy listening genre
