Vinyl plays nicely; a few light hairlines (play-graded). 12" Single. Cover has a few creases near edges; scuffing, surface impressions, (front/back); sticker residue near top-right. Inner-sleeve is original (generic white). Spine is easy-to-read with mild-wear. Minor shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
I Want Her (12" Single), by Keith Sweat, released in 1987, is a pivotal release in the New Jack Swing genre, blending R&B, soul, and hip-hop elements that defined late 1980s urban music. The title track, I Want Her, became a breakout hit, reaching No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the Billboard R&B chart, establishing Sweat as a leading figure in the genre. The single’s infectious rhythm and Sweat’s smooth vocals resonated with audiences, making it a staple in R&B history. The album, primarily a single release with remixes, showcased production by Teddy Riley, whose innovative sound shaped the New Jack Swing movement. Its success helped pave the way for Sweat’s debut album, Make It Last Forever, further cementing his influence in R&B.
