This is a lovely ginger jar featuring a Japanese Geisha garden scene - unusual for ginger jars, which most often had chinoiserie style prints, or simple florals. Deep cobalt blue on a white background, the domed lid protects contents (I love putting Italian lemon hard candies in these!) but it can also be used as a vase.
Though unmarked, they are found online in catalogues of replacement porcelain and household goods as made by ISCO in Japan, likely 1950s-1970s. It measures 4.75” high, 3.25” wide at widest body, and is in exceptionally fine condition with no chips cracks or crazing. Ships from a smoke free pet free home.
