Vintage Painted Ceramic Pig Piggy Coin Bank "Joyce" Blue & White Folk Art, 6"

Good Preowned - visible wear and/or minor flaws present. There is crazing throughout, and a small glaze chip to one ear tip. It looks like it was only the clear glaze that chipped, as there is matte blue underneath. Can be seen in the 4th photo, right ear tip.

This darling piggy, I did not realize at first, but I believe it says "Joyce" in fun, folk art lettering. There are also years listed, and this may well have been a 20th birthday gift for someone in 1949 - I haven't quite been able to figure it out, but a Google image search shows nearly an identical one online previously sold. Is it this exact one? Maybe. Are there multiples out there and they mean something bigger than I am aware of? Quite possibly.

All I know is she is a beaut! And someone designed her with skill. 🐷
