Import from Russia. Vinyl plays nicely (play-graded). Cover has a few creases near edges; scuffing (front/back). Inner-sleeve is original (generic white); two seams partially split. Spine is easy-to-read with wear (printed off center). Shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Carreras Domingo Pavarotti in Concert, later re-titled as The Three Tenors in Concert, is a landmark live album featuring the operatic trio of José Carreras, Plácido Domingo, and Luciano Pavarotti, conducted by Zubin Mehta, recorded on July 7, 1990, in Rome's Baths of Caracalla, the evening before the FIFA World Cup Final. This event marked the debut of the Three Tenors phenomenon, blending high opera with popular appeal to draw massive crowds and redefine classical music's commercial landscape, ultimately selling over 10 million copies worldwide and earning a Grammy for Best Classical Vocal Performance in 1991. The album's tracklist spans individual arias like Domingo's O paradis from Meyerbeer's L'Africaine and Pavarotti's Recondita armonia from Puccini's Tosca, alongside medleys of beloved tunes such as La Vie en rose and Cielito lindo arranged by Lalo Schifrin. Among its hits, Pavarotti's soaring solo of Nessun dorma from Turandot became an international sensation, serving as the 1990 World Cup anthem and propelling opera into mainstream pop culture. The album closes with encores including a rousing group rendition of 'O sole mio and a triumphant three-part Nessun dorma, capturing the tenors' electrifying synergy that inspired 33 more concerts and reshaped the genre's global reach.
