Details
Vinyl plays nicely; a few light hairlines (play-graded). Cover has a few creases near edges; light-scuffing, (front/back). Inner-sleeve is original (Pictures/lyrics); seams partially split. Spine is easy-to-read with minor-wear. Minor shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Hot Space, by Queen, marked a bold departure from their signature rock sound, embracing funk, dance, and disco influences, which polarized fans and critics. The album was inspired by the band's experimentation with new wave and R&B, reflecting the early 1980s music trends, but its slick production and synth-heavy approach alienated some of their traditional rock audience. Historically significant for showcasing Queen's versatility, it was recorded during a period of creative tension, particularly between John Deacon and Brian May, over the band's direction. The hit single Under Pressure, a collaboration with David Bowie, became a global anthem, reaching No. 1 in the UK and later gaining renewed popularity through its use in films and media. Other notable singles include Body Language, which peaked at No. 11 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and Las Palabras de Amor, a modest hit in the UK.
