Rare ALBA Talavera Majolica Hand Painted Trinket/Keepsake Box Multicolour Beach Motif

This pretty Majolica ceramic lidded box from artist ALBA is in mint condition, and an unusual design for this traditional art form. The raised dots are each individually coloured with azure blue, while each of the three fish are unique patterns of stripes. Talavera ceramics usually follow more traditional folk art motifs, and this is a whimsical departure from that norm!

It measures 6.25” long by 4.5” deep by 3” high with lid, and it is in pristine vintage condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or damage - a dab of label adhesive remains on the lid. The base is clearly signed though undated. Ships from a smoke free, pet free home.
