So if you don't know the story to this card - well here ya go! My opinion and story! - So this card was placed inside of a brown envelope (as seen in my photo) and then slipped inside of the re-packaged / new design box for 1998.... in 1997, the year that Tiger won his first Masters Tournament, Grand Slam Ventures reprinted the entire set of cards with his new card... They made a new "sleeve" to go around the ALREADY printed up box sets - the ones they didn't sell yet.... they made a new sleeve with a better design and that sleeve was placed around the 1997 boxes that they had left over or printed again.... my thinking is, and certainly a smart business decision for them to save money and save product that was already printed, that it was cheaper for them to print and make a sleeve to go over the current inventory.... So, this Mark O'Meara card was placed in an envelope and slipped inside of the packaging and then shrink-wrapped up.. this card WAS NOT placed with the stack of cards.
