Details
Vinyl plays with occasional light-crackles (play-graded). Cover has a few creases near edges; light-scuffing, light surface impressions, (front/back). Inner-sleeve is generic white. Spine is easy-to-read with mild-wear and a developing split. Minor shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Goodnight Vienna, by Ringo Starr, is a spirited and eclectic pop-rock album that showcases Ringo's charm as a frontman, featuring strong contributions from friends like John Lennon—who wrote and played on the energetic title track (It's All Down to) Goodnight Vienna—and Elton John, who co-wrote and performed on the catchy Snookeroo. A unique highlight is the album's cover art, which cleverly parodies a famous scene from the 1951 sci-fi classic The Day the Earth Stood Still by placing Ringo's head atop the robot's body. Fan-favorites include the playful anti-drug anthem No No Song, the upbeat Oo-Wee, Lennon's sci-fi-flavored title track, and Ringo's tender rendition of the classic Only You (And You Alone), all delivered with his signature laid-back vocal style. The album proved commercially successful, reaching No. 8 on the US Billboard 200, while its singles Only You (And You Alone) hit No. 6 and No No Song climbed to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking some of Ringo's strongest chart performances of the 1970s.
