Santa Snoopy in Sleigh Tablepiece

Here comes Snoopy Claus! This is a lovely music box made by Kurt Adler for The San Francisco Music Box Company. The box is 11,” with the figure being just under that. It has lots of nice detail. I love his glasses!

So this one actually makes me sad. He did work. I wound him up to video him for this listing, and he started to play, then made a crackling(?) sound, and now it won’t wind. It turns kind of like when you’re trying to unscrew a stripped screw. No music also means no animation. It’s so sad because it’s such a nice piece.

That said, this would still be a great display piece, or a project for someone who knows more about music boxes than I do. If you don’t mind that the music doesn’t play or you want to try to fix it, this is the piece for you! It’s such a great piece, it deserves a great home.
