There is one flea bite on his hat and a scratch on his face, both were done in manufacturing as the glaze covers both spots.  There is crazing to the glaze. Otherwise good vintage condition.

Description:
This is a Shawnee Pixie Elf Planter sitting on a shoe.  This planter was produced by the Shawnee Pottery Company in Zanesville, Ohio from the late 1930's to 1961 when the company ceased operations.   There is a impressed Shawnee stamp on the base of the piece.  This whimsical and playful design is typical of the Shawnee Co.
