Up for sale is a super nice Stanley #4 type 7. This one has the smooth sole and I have lapped it flat. The Japanning was spotty on the bed so I stripped it off and re-Japanned it using Stanley's original factory recipe and baked it 5 times and it looks great. I have sharpened the iron going through the grits up to 8000. I have also lapped the chip breaker and lever cap to fit tight to the iron. This plane has the S foundry marks on the bed and behind the frog. On the back of the lever cap is a nib that was used on the early type 7's. The tote and knob are make out of Brazilian rosewood in great shape and have no cracks or chips and show their original patina. The iron has the Q logo and has almost factory length. Judging from the wear on the iron and and sole and wood, I don't think this plane saw a lot of use. Alaska and Hawaii message me to work out shipping.
