Up for you consideration is an outstanding Stanley 604 Bedrock Hand Plane. This one is a type 3. It has the B casting marks on the frog, the lever cap and the bed. It has the one Patent date on the Lateral adj. lever and the 3 line lever cap and they are bold showing almost no ware. It has the Q logo on the blade iron and is a good length. The Japanning on the bed was pretty spotty so I stripped it off and re-Japanned it using Stanley's original factory recipe and baked it 5 times and it looks great. The tote and knob are prefect and have their original dark patina. There is no pitting anywhere. These old bedrocks don't come much nicer. Alaska and Hawaii message me to work out shipping cost.

With over 76 years of life experience and a passion for woodworking, I’ve spent decades collecting, restoring, and working with antique hand tools, mostly hand planes . I'm an Army Vet. I'm retired from the coal mines and also the Post Office. I live in Southern Illinois near Carbondale. I love to hunt and fish. I live on 30 with a 9 acre strip mine lake in front of the house. My work shop includes a Delta Unisaw , a Grizzley 17" band saw and a DeWalt 735 planer. I have many hand planes including a very nice Stanley #2 type 7
