Awesome rosewood tote and low front knob on this plane.  It has all the features of a type 7 produced 1893-1899 with the exception of the V-shaped logo on the iron.  Will make a solid user from a quality era of Stanley plane production.

BUT we really need more affordable jack planes for people to make into fore planes. I know many sellers have no 5 planes by Stanley and other makers. You can also add transitional and even wooden planes to the category "Make these 5s into fores". It's right there on the homepage.
