Built right here in Central Texas, this board isn’t just a pattern—it’s a full end-grain construction from the stripes down to the star. Using end-grain ensures your knife edges stay sharp longer, as the blade slides between the wood fibers rather than severing them.
I don’t skip steps on the finish, either. Every board gets a full overnight soak in a mineral oil bath to ensure the wood is saturated deep into the grain, followed by a hand-applied food-safe wax to lock in moisture and provide a smooth, water-resistant surface.
🛠 The Build The Construction: 100% solid end grain. Even the star is inlaid as end grain, so the entire surface wears evenly over time. The Finish: Deep-soaked overnight in mineral oil and finished with a heavy-duty food-safe wax. Origin: Handmade in Central Texas.
📏 Dimensions Thickness: 1.5" — thick enough to be stable on the counter without being too heavy to move for cleaning. Surface Area: 17.5" x 11.5"
🧼 Maintenance To keep the end grain in top shape: Hand wash only (never submerge or put in the dishwasher). Re-oil whenever the wood starts to look "thirsty" or dull.
Need a Specific Size? If you’re looking for a larger butcher block version or a specific footprint for your countertop, message me for a quote. I can scale the flag design to fit whatever dimensions you need.

Hey y'all, I started this business in high school over Covid because of my excessive free time. I love to innovate on the design process and make furniture that seems impossible at a first glance. I am going to school for mechanical engineering and love to push the limits of whats possible in the furniture realm.
