Content
This LP was designed to collect tracks not previously available on UK albums:
• Rare singles and B-sides like “This Boy,” “Yes It Is,” “The Inner Light,” “Rain,” and “I’m Down.”
• German language versions: “Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand” and “Sie Liebt Dich.”
• Oddities: “You Know My Name (Look Up the Number),” which had been hard to find before.
It was not a “rarities” album in the sense of unreleased songs — rather, it gathered tracks scattered across singles and foreign releases.
Pressing & Label Notes
• The black/silver Parlophone label with the two-box EMI logo is consistent with UK pressings from this late ’70s era.
• “Stereo † Mono” marking: several tracks are in true mono, but the album was cut as stereo-compatible.
• This copy is first UK issue, 1979, with the correct catalog number PCM 1001 and matrix pairing (991-1 / 992-2).
Sleeve & Artwork
• Dark navy-blue sleeve with gold embossed lettering.
• Back cover contains liner notes by Hugh Fielder (Sounds magazine).
• Manufactured and distributed by EMI Records Ltd.
