Vally California Pottery Plate: Art Deco Persian Pink Warrior, Signed Handmade

The Charlie B Gallery of Carson City, Nevada is offering this octagonal plate form with Persian pink warrior by Los Angeles, California pottery Vally Werner. This dates to circa 1948. Werner was a one-time employee of Barbara Willis.

This is signed "Handmade by Vally" as shown. Light marks and wear and found over the surfaces from normal use. Light scuffing to the foot noted from use. Factory stilt marks with polishing are also noted. I do not detect chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Offers a nice soft ring when tapped. I would say this is in nice used condition. All fragile merchandise is shipped using the "double box" process.

This form stands .75 inches by 7.5 inches wide.
