This is a vintage wall pocket, adorned with a stylish cat! Made in Japan during the 1950s, for Lefton, this kitschy kitty planter was crafted from a lightweight porcelain, and given hand painted details. The planter has a flat bottom and back, so it can be placed on a windowsill or a table, but it also can be hung on a wall. So many choices!. Our kitty has little tufts of porcelain "spaghetti" serving as her whiskers and fur tufts. Her spaghetti fluff has been given a shiny gold gilding, and her eyes have even been set with sparkling rhinestones. Such a fancy cat! Condition: This cat planter is in Excellent shape! There are no chips, cracks, or any other damage that I could find. Her spaghetti fur seems to be completely intact as well. It's possible there may be a single strand missing off her tail, but I didn't feel any sharp spots, so it's probably just a spot they missed with the gold, making it look a little sparse. There is a single iron inclusion inside the planter portion, but that's ok. She was born with it! Size: The piece measures 3" across, is 2½" wide, and sits 5¼" tall. The actual planter portion measures 2¾ by 1½", and is 2¼" deep.
