This is vintage kitchen tool from the "Cozy Kitten" line, meant to hold your spoon and a recipe card! Made in Japan during the 1960s for Holt Howard, this unusual holder sure is practical when you're cooking! Of course, these mischievous kitties are the real stars - Holt Howard made lots of different Cozy Kitten items, as they were so popular. This spoon rest is quite a hard to find one! Condition: This piece is in Excellent shape! There are no chips, cracks, or any other damage that I could find. There are spots where the ceramic is uneven, with little gouges or excess pieces, but they're all under the glaze, left over from manufacturing. Other than the small factory flaws, I really couldn't find anything else amiss. It's just as good as the day it was made! Size: It measures about 8½" long, is just under 3½" across the widest point, and rests 2¼" off the table. Standard recipe cards fit well, though if it's a complicated recipe you may need to ask a kitten to step aside while you read the bottom!
