This is a 1950’s Victorian style cruet castor set, a type of condiment holder used on dining tables in the 19th century. The set includes a stand and several glass bottles for various condiments. The bottles typically held oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and mustard. Cruet castor sets were a common piece of tableware in Victorian homes, from the most humble to the most elegant. This one was originally made of aluminum and painted black. The black lids are metal, the stoppers in the bottles are a hard plastic as is the tiny spoon.
