Vintage Glit Lava Pottery Cup And Low Profile Bowl, Iceland, MCM Brutalist

This set has everything that's yummy about lava glaze pottery. And it's made from actual lava! In its bright orange contrast to the heavily textured brown sides of each piece, it looks like its still smoldering. There is a noticable chip on the rim of the bowl but it's the same color as the glaze. There may be a fleabite here or there but there are no cracks or other noticeable damage. The bottom of the cup looks like it may have a cosmetic repair. It stands approx 2.75" high and has the same diameter. The bowl is 8" in diameter and less than 2" tall. Glit pottery was formed in 1958 but I don't know how old this piece is. They are still producing pieces today but I believe this one is vintage at least, based on the impressed logo.
