Vintage Kashmiri Paper Maché Trinket Box - 5 ¼" w

A vintage light turquoise trinket box from Kashmir (India), featuring intricate gold floral designs. Made using traditional paper maché techniques—recycled paper is molded, then painted and finished with a gloss varnish which has darkened with time. Fitted lid that overlaps the base for a secure fit and more room inside.

Details: • 3 ¼" high • 5 ¼" wide • 5 ¼" deep • Interior of the box is 4 ¼" w x 4 ¼" d

Condition: The condition is good but as a vintage piece it has a few scuffs and the varnish is darkened / yellowing. The photo taken outside and the photo of the base give the clearest view of the finish. Please check out all the photos.
