Vintage Lusterware Cat Salt and Pepper Shaker Set | Kitschy Long Necked Winking Kitties | Red Bowties on Green Luster | 1930s Made in Japan

This is a vintage salt and pepper shaker set, shaped like some seriously stretched out cats! Made in Japan, probably during the 1930s, these kitties have both style and attitude! Both shakers have been finished with a shiny green lustered coating, although one was given a much lighter coating, probably so you could tell them apart at a glance. Each of these smiling cats was also given a dapper bow tie - How fancy! Condition: This pair of cats is in Good shape! There are no chips, cracks, or any structural damage to either shaker. Both cats do have some wear to their lustered finish. The darker green kitty has a small wear spot on his tail. The lighter kitty has wear on his knee and especially around his neck. It looks like there was almost an ombré effect originally, as his bowtie is still bright and unworn, yet the luster directly around that and up on his face is so pale. You can tell that this pair was loved and used back in the day! Both still have their original corks, but one is sadly inside of the shaker... Size: Each cat measures about 1¼" across, is 1¾" long, and sits 4¼" tall. These porcelain pretties have some height!
