This is a vintage teabag holder set, adorned with the face of the aptly named "Miss Cutie-Pie"! Made in Japan during the late 1950s, for NAPCO, these little teabag holders were crafted from a lightweight ceramic, and hand painted. The Miss Cutie Pie line was one of NAPCO's most successful and charming kitchenware sets, with pieces available in pink, a soft blue, and yellow, like this set. These adorable little dishes are teapot shaped, and are perfectly sized to hold a teabag, or perhaps even your teaspoon. Although they nestle nicely in their caddy, their bottoms are wide enough so they can stand upright on their own when not in use, making it easy to display them on a hutch or shelf! Condition: Two of these gals are in Very Good shape, while the other two are in Fair & Poor condition - They have met with accidents and I wish it wasn't so! The two in the best shape only have a little fleabite each on the tip of their spouts, from what I could see, which looks to be a very vulnerable spot. The "Fair" girl has a large chip out of her front side, which removes the "the" printed on her. Additionally, she has a hairline on her backside, which extends from the center nearly to the edge. The "Poor" girl lost her entire handle, and it was repaired by her previous owner. While the repair doesn't look too bad from the front, there's no hiding it from the backside! I did include a picture where I highlighted the damaged areas, both front and back. Overall the set does present nicely, especially in their caddy, despite the flaws! Size: Each Cutie Pie measures about 4” across spout to handle, is 3½" from top to bottom, and their base is a little over ½” wide. The caddy is 5" long, just over 2½" wide, and is 5¼" tall with the handle up.
