This is a vintage ceramic tile, decorated with a cheeky Joker! Made in the USA during the early 1940s, by the House of Lackner, this tile was advertised to be multi-purpose. The back mentions it can be used as a trivet, hotplate, or even on your wall. That means there's a lot of options for this jolly little jester! Condition: This tile is in Good shape! While there isn't any major damage, there are a couple of little dings around the edges, particularly near the corners. While a couple might be minor factory flaws, it's fair to say this has lived a life, and although there were no major accidents, it is not unscathed. There is also a bit of damage to the paint. Fortunately our Joker is pretty much untouched, but the large spade behind her and the spade in the top left both have a small amount of paint loss. Overall the piece still looks really nice though! Originally it would have been part of a set of four. I do wish they had all still been together, because the Queen of Hearts is equally amazing looking! Size: This tile is nicely square and measures about 4¼" across.
