In the mountains of Romania, villagers once walked long forest paths wearing simple leather shoes called opinci. Strong and humble, they carried people through markets, valleys, and home again at day’s end.

Folk stories say these shoes carried more than footsteps… they carried hopes.

A wandering fairy named Dorina—whose name comes from the Romanian word dor, meaning a longing for home—shaped this small ceramic opincă as a keepsake. Though it cannot walk, it holds what the heart carries.
