Vintage Stanley No. 400 Cast Iron Mitre Vice - Tilts & Swivels

An Excellent Stanley No. 400 Mitre Vice. It has a black finish (not Japanning). It is 100% complete and original with no damage, repairs, or replacement parts. It functions exactly as it should with very minor wear in the finish. Great for assembling mitre joints and has a provision allowing the user to make the final "matched" mitre cut for fitting mitre joints. It tilts and swivels to aid in fastening the mitre joint closed and has provisions in the base to fix it to a board with common wood screws for stability or for holding it in a vice, etc. It weighs 12 pounds, 4.5 ounces unboxed.
