This vintage Westerwald Pottery tankard, signed by Phil Schaltenbrand, is a piece of art pottery that was handmade in 1981 in Scenery Hill, Pennsylvania. The salt glaze tankard features a colonial style design with a gray and blue color palette, showcasing an intricate leaf pattern as well as "Old Town". With a capacity of 20 ounces, this original tankard stands at 5.9 inches tall, has an attached handle with thumb rest, and is made of stoneware, making it a functional and decorative piece for any occasion. The base is signed and dated.
The tankard is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or signs of wear.
