Vtg 1965 Black Wedgewood Jasperware Heart Shaped Dish- 3 Graces

This is a nice piece of Wedgewood Jasperware in Black- Heart Shape. It has the the known features of the raised white relief motifs on edge and figurine. The figure is of three women-who represent the three Graces from Greek mythology: Aglaea (Beauty), Euphrosyne (Mirth), and Thalia (Good Cheer). The Graces embody beauty, charm and joy. Their depiction reflects themes popular in the 18th Century, with emphasis on elegance and refinement. Knowing this and it being a heart shaped dish- makes it a wonderful gift! This is being sold as used- it was a dish I adored for many years- now downsizing. No chips cracks or concerning issues. Please see photos. non smoking home Non pet home.
