Details
On offer here is a vintage wooden rabbet plane in good used condition. Body has been modestly compassed at toe and heel – more so to the heel - while the center is flat – this most certainly was a user modification. Iron could use some sharpening.
Please see photos for condition, dimensions and markings.
Some background information gathered from American Wooden Planes by Pollack: James Killam (b. 1798 in CT) was a Glastonbury, CT planemaker, active from 1822-60. Rated: * Uncommon mark The second mark "R. DERBY" is also listed by Pollack as 'UR' (Unrated due to insufficient information).
Offered to USA Buyers only. Shipping to be by USPS Ground Advantage. Buyer pays shipping.
Multiple items purchased on the same day will be combined for savings on shipping costs whenever possible. TT is quite good at automatically figuring this for billing purposes, but should there be any overage collected for shipping by TT, this will then be refunded to the buyer as soon as determined.
