XL Long Exotic Chaos End Grain Cutting Board Butcher Block

$249.99

Details

This board is built using a massive contrast of over 20 different species of recycled exotic hardwoods. Because I use reclaimed materials, this is a one of one board that has a completely unique "DNA"—you’re getting a mosaic of grain patterns and densities that you simply can't find in a single-species block.

The construction is 100% end grain, which is the professional standard for high-end knives. By orienting the wood fibers vertically, the board acts like a dense brush; your blade slips between the fibers instead of severing them. This "self-healing" action keeps the surface from scarring and prevents your knife edges from dulling prematurely.

The Build The Wood: A heavy-duty mosaic of over 20 recycled exotic species, creating a vibrant, one-of-a-kind workspace. The Surface: Full end-grain orientation for maximum durability and blade protection. The Hardware: 1.5” solid copper feet with non-slip rubber bottoms. This elevates the board to allow airflow underneath and provides a rock-solid foundation that won’t budge during heavy prep. The Finish: Deep-saturated in a mineral oil bath and finished with a hand-applied food-safe wax.

Dimensions Surface Area: 20" x 10" Height: 2"

Care & Longevity With over 20 species involved, consistent care is key to keeping the board stable: Hand wash only with mild soap and dry immediately. Never submerge or put in the dishwasher. Apply mineral oil or board butter once a month to keep the various wood fibers hydrated and vibrant.

Custom Sizes Need a larger version for a kitchen island or a specific thickness? Since I work with a variety of reclaimed exotics, I can build a custom mosaic to your specific dimensions. Message me for a quote.

Hey y'all, I started this business in high school over Covid because of my excessive free time. I love to innovate on the design process and make furniture that seems impossible at a first glance. I am going to school for mechanical engineering and love to push the limits of whats possible in the furniture realm.
